![]() DBM handles similar things with text across the screen, which is a little more descriptive, but can be distracting at times too. BigWigs has a "flash and shake" module where you can have the screen blink blue at you, or shake, or both, when something's happening to you that you have to react to - like getting a disease on Rotface. I go back and forth periodically between BigWigs and DBM, and I've added Deus Vox in as well because the "run that way" arrows are really useful to me while I'm learning an encounter, or on things where I have to react fast and can't necessarily see where I have to run (Icehowl's Massive Crash, for instance).Īll three have points I like, and points I don't like. While I'd love to give BigWigs a full audition, having the raid healer fiddling with new boss warning mods is rarely a very good thing, so the fate of my addon folder lies in the hands of the advice I get from you ladies. Which one do YOU ladies prefer, and why? Be as specific as you can. It would APPEAR that BW has this feature, but how does it work out with this particular dance? On Rotface, I get a nice little warning that my disease has been cleansed and there is a little ooze on me now, but nothing to let me know the ooze is no longer on me. Or is there one, and I'm just not seeing it in the options? Knowing one was coming up, and having the castbar, made healing that raid damage much less stressful. I am miffed to discover there is no Decimate timer for Precious and Stinky. ![]() While I can see that there is an alert for Bone Spike in particular.what kind of alert is it? It is a text alert? Do I get a warning when he's about to cast it? Can anyone compare and contrast any of the ICC encounters using DBM and BW? ![]() As a healer, that is terribly, terribly handy information to have in the raid frames. I am fond of DBM's tendency to put icons on raid frames when OHSHIT stuff happens to raid members. And trying out a new mod of this nature on raid progression day is.problematic.Īnd so I come to you, WoW Ladies, hat in hand. I like what I can see of it.but I have a few questions about it that I cannot answer unless I see it in true action, which won't be until the pertinent raids have reset. ![]() So this morning I installed BigWigs to see what it can do. Now, I'm a DBM user, but I'm not married to it. He says he likes it much better than DBM and he gets far fewer errors on patch days. After DBM was causing no end of problems for a guildie last night, our GM suggested he download BigWigs instead. ![]()
